OG Steak

Here’s a unique twist on steak that is sure to pack a ton of flavour!

  • Select your favourite cut of steak (striploin, ribeye or flank try going for AAA or higher)
  • 2 tbsp OG Tamil Meat Seasoning + 1.5 tsp white sugar.  Mix OG Tamil Meat Seasoning with sugar and set aside (you don’t need to use up all of the seasoning mix, we prepared this recipe so you can have some ready for next time!)
  • 1/2 tbsp of salter butter
  • Lime or lemon
  • Deep fried curry leaves for garnish
  • 2-3 red chilli peppers
  • Olive oil

  • Rub steak down with olive oil
  • Ensure that all sides of the steak are seasoned generously with OG Tamil Meat seasoning (do this 5 mins before grilling)
  • Preheat the grill to high heat

  • Grill steak on both sides to your preference
  • Char and cook red chili peppers and set aside once they are half cooked
  • Deep fry the curry leaves and place on paper towel to remove excess oil
  • When the steak has cooked let it rest for 5 mins, place the butter over it and let it melt from the residual heat

  • Cut steak into pieces, arrange on a plate and pour excess melted butter and juices (which pooled at the bottom of the other plate) over the steak
  • Garnish with curry leaves and lime
